Dear Mr Taylor,

Derbyshire Dales District Council does not have any responsiblity for Libraries, they are under the remit of Derbyshire County Council. Further to this we do not, to the best of my knowledge have any employees by the name of "ann asshole ann ainsworth". 

The District Council is selling poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal in our offices, and having contacted our colleagues at the County Council, they inform me that all Derbyshire Libraries are in fact selling Poppies for the Appeal - as they have done every year previously. 

This occurred on 03/11/2009 after the Leader of the County Council overturned the previous order, which was indeed from a Ms Ainsworth. Whether she is being made redundant or otherwise disciplined is not known to them.
