But wouldn't the giraffe and the elephant be dead if they were in the refrigerator.

no, no, no........................
hugh, it says, "How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator? " and "How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator? ". both sentences are in the singular. there is only one normal size giraffe/elephant refrigerator in the world. one - everyone knows that, even four year old children.
the one that was made was 8 times over budget and because the project was badly managed (surprise, surprise) no more were ever made.
so only one animal did not attend the lion kings animal conference - this was the one elephant that was in the one and only giraffe/elephant refrigerator in the entire world.
That being the case, the crocodiles did attend the conference. nowhere does it say, imply or give the impression that all the animals attended EXCEPT the crocodiles.......................................
it clearly states, "The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend.... except one"
you wrote, "In any case, who wants to go across the river?".
me and the missus wanted to cross the river, there is a good pub on that side. however, if the crocodiles were not at the lion kings animal conference they would have been in the river as usual. in that case we would have gone to the chinese on this side for a nosh up.......................................

Colin,
I put the giraffe and elephant in different fridges (really big ones), and I saw no reason why they shouldn't attend the Lion King's conference, which was for all animals EXCEPT crocodiles. You should have read the small print. In any case, who wants to go across the river? I make it four out of four to me.
Hugh.
