At No.3 Cockburn road is this little Victorian era building which
houses Bangalore's oldest Bar, 'Dewars' which was named
after a Scottish whiskey .

Dewars is one of those remnants of what the city was years
ago. In the times when Bangalore was divided as cantonment
and city this watering hole served the soldiers of the British
army. "You hardly had any Indians here in those days; the only
Indians here in those days were us the owners." says Varadraj.
Varadraj is the fourth generation owner of this historical bar.
