Hugh,
The more I read about the amount of equipment on the bridge plus having 
first hand knowledge of installing the latest and greatest on our fast 
patrol boats I personally don't see why they don't go the whole hog and 
take the people off the bridge and let the ships steer themselves around 
the world as when any of the equipment breaks down apparently the 
present personal are unable to revert to traditional navigation so 
what's the point of putting more people on board when the whole system 
could be made safer by removing the weak link man
