Colin,

Who was?  You pays your money, and you takes your choice. 
Iranian/Palestinian in revenge for the US shooting down of an Iranian 
airliner "by mistake", most likely. So far, I have seen no convincing reason 
why Libya, or a Libyan, should have been involved, or why the trial had to 
be held in an odd format in the Netherlands. Those doing the planning did 
not include for the possibility of there being an SNP government in 
Scotland, and all the problems that might arise from the Scottish legal 
system being wholly distinct in origins, practice and in responsibility from 
the English.  Blinkered arrogance, with the present results.
