it wasn't until yesterday that I became aware that stephen hawking and the uk nhs had been dragged into the debate (nay, brawl) here about universal health care.

from the nhs's bristly response it seems it is back-firing on the nay-sayers here who brought it up, hoping it would enhance the anti-universal health care mobs mad cap ideas of a nhs.
