ha, ha - love that shine, hugh
but from the original article and your excellent articulation of the benefits of this particular system I can well see that 4.8 litres will be adequate
and, although I am no expert in these matters, I detect the distinct possibility that perpetual motion can not be far off....................................

Colin,
Bear in mind that the biofuel is made in part of used cooking oil - depending on what was cooked in it, this will undoubtedly have a beneficial effect on fuel consumption. Also, with any luck the air for driving the fans will come from a compressor driven by the engine using the extra power that comes from the steam being forced through the cylinders by the fan that's driven by the air, etc, ad infinitum. No wonder 4.8 litres suffices. Things have moved on since we plied our trade. One last point - the crankshaft and bearings were cleaned up, so the refurbished engine will be very shiny.
