Where do they dig up these dregs of humanity. Down here we have recently had
the Rola McAbe (?) case were the lawyers are still chasing the family for
costs

after their mother has passed on.

 

Pleural plaques is beneficial?? Do any of them have them...Fair dinkum!!

A  depressing article in today's Herald.  Lawyers for industries reluctant
to accept that employees who had been exposed to their asbestos contracted
fatal diseases have come up with a new smoke screen.  Pleural plaques is
beneficial, they say - the ailment shows the body is healthy and up to the
job of resisting full asbestosis (I'm not making this up).  The last dodge
they tried was to ask sufferers to prove the shipyards where they'd worked
had ever built a ship, and if asbestos had ever been used on ships.
Dropping the barstewards head first into a tank of ordure would be a good
way to start.
