After years in the making and due for the official launch today, the
paddle steamer Curlip is without a qualified engineer.

The local Marine Board has stipulated that a steam certificated engineer 
is required, but so far, nobody has stepped up to the plate.

It seems to me that the organising committee and builders have done a
fantastic job with federal, state and local funding, together with
thousands of hours volunteer labour.

Any volunteers?
